Shark Fest 2008

Tonight was our end of season party for the Sharks. We finished our season with a 5 and 2 record, but most importatnly had a great time just playing soccer. The scores and the record don't matter too much, however the lessons we hope the kids have learned should last them a lifetime.

This seasons team was easily one of the funnest to coach. The kids understood and remembered the values we taught them better than any other season, they played harder than I've ever seen them play, and in the end insured that these sharks are never to be forgotten.

So to all the sharks and shark followers,

Coach Jeff and I love you so much and we will always have a very special place in our hearts for each and everyone of you. We look so forward to spending more time having fun with you in the future and hope that it will be sooner than later. You have touched so many people with your courage and strength, and the light from your smiles will burn brightly forever.

The party was a great time for all, however I have to mention that is was in a way bittersweet. This season was the last for some time for Christian Hernandez. Christian has played on many of our teams in the past and we have grown to love Vee, Frank, Frank Aaron and Christian so much. They will be moving to New York just after the first of the year and while our prayers go with them, and we are excited about the opportunity they have, it goes without saying that we will miss them greatly. They will be in New York for two years and then hopefully back to Texas. So take our love with you to New York, and God be with you until we meet again. Your friendship will never be forgotten, and we are already planning your return party.

So here are some pictures of the party, and I will begin by introducing you to our Sharks.
