Thursday night all the dad's from the soccer team got together for a "guys night out". We went to Uni Sushi in MarketStreet in The Woodlands and had a great time. It was so great to spend some time together outisde of the soccer games and the parties. We are still hopeful that the Shark Mommies will get together and do the same as we know they could all use a night out away form the kids.
This soccer season has gone extremly well and we will hate to see it end as always. We have just 3 games left and one is during the week due to Hurricane Ike changing the schedule. Therefore, we have just two saturday games left so we hope you will be able to make it to one of them. If you havent seen 5 year olds play soccer it is truly a treat. They are just old enough now to understand the fundementals of the game, and most can master those fundamentals. So the games are no longer just total chaos as with the younger kids, but are at times very competitive.
Next year Will is going to be starting soccer at age three and already has many friends he knows who will play with him. That should just be a blast to watch. Several of them already are itching to get out on the field and play, and one of his good friends Kyle has been participating in the 5 yr old practices for quite some time. i love having him on the field and the kids get a real kick out of it too. It's like he's a member of the team. He should be really good once he starts and he will already be use to all the things we do in practice like stretching, running, drills etc.
So I look forward to more Shark Daddy nights out with the guys. Especially if we have them at places like Uni Sushi. What a great place. If you really like sushi, you cant miss this place. It is a must do!
I must also give credit where credit is due. Adam Chutter (Sam's Dad) was the author of shark Daddy night. He was the one who originally came up with the great idea. So thanks again Adam! What other ideas do you have?
