Oldies but Goodies!

This is a new blog carnival that I am going to try. Before you stop reading, get this! It is the easiest, fastest, and funnest carnival you will ever do! I promise. All you do is go back through all your posts and find something you posted long ago that you felt was kinda funny. The funnier the better! It doesnt even really have to be funny, it can just be something special to you that you would like to share. Copy the code and text from that post into a new one and then link up here at The Fort. If this goes well I will make it a blog hop link so that it will appear in everyone's posts.

So many of us have new readers that haven't seen many of our older posts from when we first started blogging. We probably didn't have many followers at all back then, and you know that even the people that did follow from day one missed some posts. Here is your chance to share again.

Get involved in this as it will be a ton of fun and will only take a few minutes of your time to repost something that will bring allot of new traffic to your blog as well as make us laugh! Its gonna be a blast!

If it goes well which I feel it will then I will have a button designed soon for this too! So watcha waiting for? Go repost something and show us your funnies!

Here is a post I did on Taylor over a year and a half ago. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Recently Taylor thought it would be fun to literally cover her bathroom in toothpaste. She squeezed the tube and then shook it violently as the blue bubble gum flavored ooze slowly covered everything in the bathroom from the floor to the ceiling. The first time I noticed it was on some shorts I had on that evidently had rubbed up against some of it on the wall before I noticed the predicament.

I asked her why she would do something like that and her answer was of course "because it was fun Daddy." What do you say to that? I tried to explain that while I agreed that I'm sure it was fun, just because its fun doesn't make it the right thing to do. Not an easy concept to try and explain to a 5 year old.

I thought that all of it had been cleaned up, but as I found out the next day it wasn't. I was brushing my hair and soon realized as the brush wasn't smoothly moving through my locks as it normally does that there had been some in my brush that was on the counter where she created her toothpaste masterpiece. I soon found out that I now had bubble gum flavored blue toothpaste in my hair! NICE!

She thought it was funny so I asked her if she would like some in her hair. She of course said no, so I quickly quipped, "but it would be FUN!" So she said, "but that doesn't make it right Daddy" I guess after all she did get the concept. Let's hope so.

Oh the joy of kids!!!

You are such a patient Dad!

Sorry Tim, but I HAD to laugh at this one! Oh, the joys of parenting! Toothpaste is so icky and sticky...I can only imagine the mess it made...especially in your HAIR! How long did it take you to wash it all out? Hey, at least your scalp will be cavity-free! LOL!

Ha ha ha...have you noticed kids somehow become wise when tables are turned on them? Somehow the wisdom never strikes when they're in 'naughty -fun' mode!!!

Thanks so much for this great idea for a Carnival and for the sweet comment left on my post :>

PS Come leave an entry in each of the Back to School giveaways.Today is Day 5 (40 days in all)...never know when you may win ;>

What a great idea! I dont know if I can keep up! hmmm, I will keep this in mind though for a future one. But being what i consider, still fairly new...I dont think I have many posts to choose from :o)

Your kids are adorable and I am sure you have a truckload of treasures like this post!!! How awesome it would have been to have been a blogger when our 3 were little! Now it seems, (not intentionally, of course!) I end up "creating" the funny moments that I get myself in to!

Blessings & Aloha!

That was a cute little story. Except for the toothpaste in the brush. I've had that happen. It's really lousy!!! She's a quick learner though!!
